Trick For Installing Photoshop (or Illustrator, etc) Fonts

Okay Okay, I will admit it, I am a font-a-holic!!
If you are like me, though, most of your fonts are used only in Photoshop (or Illustrator). I have a few extra fonts installed on my system that I use in MS Office, but I didn’t want to have to scroll through the hundreds I use for my scrapbooking. So I went looking for a solution and found one, YAY!!!
You can install fonts to be used in Photoshop and any of your other Adobe programs, and here is how:

  1. Goto C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\

  2. If you do not have a folder titled Fonts then click New folder to create a new, empty folder and name it Fonts  newfolder

  3. Drag any fonts you want into the folder and select move here or copy here    copy

  4. Voilà, your new fonts are ready to use. If your Adobe program was open, then you will need to restart to see any new fonts you have installed

Since I am always finding new and exciting fonts, I keep a shortcut to this folder on my desktop.
